One of the tricks of the enemy is to get you so offended, that eventually you become the offender. Another one of his goals is to get you so distracted and off center, that you become paralyzed and blind.
Paralyzed in fear, ruin and distress. Blind where all you see is offense and harmful things that was done and made.
So distracted and in distress that you will be useless for the Kingdom, others and yourself.
One of his best tricks is to have you retreat to the old mindset and thinking. He desires to cause so much conflict that eventually you doubt GOD’S existence. Get you so off point where you pledge to his agenda and allegiance.
Let’s examine and go over these attacks and things.
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” – Luke 22:31-32
Sift you like wheat- examine you closely, give close attention to, to question, to seperate, to scatter you.
As with anything, we know that if someone wants to purposely push our buttons we must rise above that. However, I will be the 1st to admit these attacks can leave you at a loss.
So let’s go to Genesis now, where we examine his 1st trick designed to fool you.
And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” – Genesis 2:16-17
Here..is their message given for their wellbeing and lives. It was given to Adam who then shared with his wife.
Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame. – Genesis 2:25
Imagine now the nakedness of the two who just became one spirit. No shame, no issues to hide, no regrets, no nagging and pressing situations. They both knew each other and worked and lived under one accord- one mindset. They both were going in the same direction. They both received fruit and instructions from GOD. GOD was who predicted and dictated their lives. They lived under blessed conditions both inwardly and outwardly.
Sometime later the crafty serpent wanted to bring down the cherished union before GOD. He desired to also sift them like wheat. He desired to examine them closely. He desired to use his tricks to seperate and scatter. He wanted to then question them too. The ultimate plan was to get them to lose. To destroy the blessed living and cause shame, regret and pain. The ultimate plan was to cause treason and break their allegiance to GOD.
So he started his sifting with the words…
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” – Genesis 3:1
So the 1st attack is to get you confused. To cause you to examine or recalculate what GOD already initially said to you. As with us as well…we heard the Word, we received it well…now troubles and tribulations will form to have us second guess what we heard. To have us second guess what we already received and knew as true. So with that is the test. Let’s now check out what Eve said too…
The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” – Genesis 3:2-3
So now she spoke her heart out to the strange serpent who she knew not. The same lesson holds true for us sometimes during our walk. We can’t share with everyone. We can’t disclose our hearts to all. We cannot indulge with others who may be simply bent on our harm. But here we see she spoke on those things. Her lasting remarks spoke on her heart. Death was new language to her. Language that she didn’t quite understand. The same with us… But we must lean not on our own understanding.
So now the serpent gained a little access way inside. He would use her fear and lack of understanding to get her to seperate from GOD. Check out now his choice words…
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” – Genesis 3:4-5
Then came the fall! Then came the partaking of fruit not healthy for their overall wellbeing at all. Then came the seperation.
We also sometimes fail in our guarding as well. We also slip and miscalculate and judge under our own limited understanding. We begin to doubt whether what GOD spoke is true. So much time and things happened, maybe it’s not for you. So much other things you see and hear, the pressures now cause for you to discard instead of bearing. The situation wants you to put other things in sight to appear larger than LIFE a.k.a GOD.
The blessed part is now we know. As we grow in faith and know more regarding GOD and our roads…we become more steady and stable. As we draw more to HIM then any other thing, now we have HIS strength to guard and protect HIS Words issued after our falls…He still has for us good use and purposes in mind.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. – Romans 8:1-2
We must live through HIS Spirit and not off our understanding or from our feelings.
So our encouraging message for today..
But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” – Luke 22:32
When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers and your sisters. Let someone else learn from your story. Share the mysteries which has been revealed to you. Share the different methods of attacks. Share the victory! Share HIS GLORY & everlasting love and grace. Share the dilemmas. Share the ultimate goal of the enemy. Share the ways he tries to disarm and seperate the body of Christ. Share after the fall. Strengthen so they may also be aware and if they should also fall but turn back to repent..may they as well strengthen the next.
Sober and Alert
